How are you?

Yesterday, Sunday, I was at home looking to buy some more books and continue to deepen my learning in the world of leadership and also of diving.
But today when came to work, I spent in front of a school, that students should have ate the eighth series and noticed a guy who works receiving the students. It’s a boy with some 40 years more or less, black, high, which is on the door of the school giving good day to students, playing with them, it is even fun, hugging and talking slang as boys.
Imagine you come to school, the 6-morning, with much sleep, knowing the various tasks that will have to do during the day… you already came to go home, but that guy was the difference, he hugging and played with everyone so that everybody smile, played with them too, was that time that normally is a bag, a little more legal… dealt all equal…
And started to think about how this was important everywhere with all people and all professions .. but, bringing it to the diving, I think that is one of the qualities of the leader, you know give to people and make it as the bad times become opportunities.
Personally, I always said that I have never seen a situation as something bad against my person, by contrast… a problem and further unresolved, it is a sign that people are coming not knowing how to resolve, which means that we have an opportunity to learn something new and put us where is this failure…
Problems are opportunities and was exactly what that guy did, he realized that all the students have arrived, bag and somehow, what used to communicate with them more as a result, it should have achieved greater attention of the board of the school , greater attention of parents who no longer took the majority of the students ate the door, but left with that face… ie… trust my dear… to build day after day…
German applicable, a circle of friendship and not because of protection between pupils themselves…

Food and Dive

Okay?Today I want to talk about eating before diving.
The food was linked to the fact go wrong in the boat before diving, if you have to pass easily evil, should eat well, avoid the meat fat and heavy meals on all alcoholic beverages.
In the morning of the diving, we should eat at breakfast and fruit, bread, cheese and milk or juice to have a coffee and strengthened. Nothing too heavy for that does not have problem in the boat or has trouble diving.
If lunch, remember the rest an hour after eating and do not eat anything too heavy, so you do not have problems.
The night before the dive, sleep well, relax the body so that it can make all the activity during the day.
Use these words as a rule before every dive to not have problems throughout the tour.

Letter to Divers

Same to all humans, we born on earth-heart. We have arms and legs, Breathe oxygen it comes into smaller lungs. We spent much of our lives on vertical position that gives us greater autonomy and comfort in the earth. In a Superficial vision we are same to all humans.

But analyzing a little deeper, something makes us different. We born with eyes accustomed to the blue of waters. We have a body that hopes by the arms of the sea and a lung accepting large deprivations of air only to prolong our lives in the blue world.

We are mens and womans of restless spirit. We seek in our lives more than was given. We spent to great difficulties to bring the fishes. We transform our feet in big fies, we held the heat of our body with fake fur and coming with us a new lung in our back. And all this for wath? To satisfy a passion, a dream. Because we, some day, of some how, we were presented to a new world. A world of silence, quiet, mistery, respect and friendship. And this calm and silence made us forget the mess and turmoil in our homeland. The mistery surrounding our hearts thirsty for adventure.

The respect we learn to take the real inhabitants of this world. Respect this, only after having felt the innocence of a fish, the intelligence of a dolphin, the majesty of a whale or even the strength of a shark, we can understand.

And the friendship. When we go to deep of the sea, we discover that there could never live alone. So, take someone else. And this person, called a double, companion or simply friend, becomes important to us. Why, and they could save our lives, is to share everything that we see and feel.

And in pairs, we have teams, and these become increasingly larger and more united. And so we believe that we are all old friends even if we do not know. And this bond that unites us is greater than all the others that have already found

And that means that we are more than friends, we are brothers.

First Job.

Ok, you start the course, you are very happy, you are crazy to get your first job, live a scuba diver life, knowing people, places, dive on the world, nothing stop you…I will be intructor and it is my duty not discourage you and I will not do this, I will not deceive you, but, I will say to you calm and keep the focus on your studies and your training, and then do you worry about where you choose will work and live. I don´t will say to you don´t dream…Dream and dream very high…The dream will keep you in the way to success, dream with your goals and keep in your mind how you will achieve, think in ways, in obstacles, how you will win the rocks on the way and thinkin your victory…But never let it take your concentration of studies. I will tell you for a personal experience…Two weeks ago I was looking for places to work in Cairns, Australia. I found fantastics places and selected many resorts to send emails.

I sending emails to all places speaking about employment.

Spent a few days, no answer… Spent More days and I got one Answer talking no vacancy. And after a while, someone answered me saying that there was no vacancy. I was half way with the way things discredited…

Then I begin note somethings:

First:

An Instructor recon if you are instructor or not.

These people are experienced, Use terminologies that are themselves of the area in which they work, Has its ways of speak and express, it is difficult deceive anyone, even by mail.

Second:

To you be instructor, you must have a registred number by PADI.

Third and must important:

You have a dive logs, hours of work(with divemaster), you must have describe your experience to the place of job, never lie, Because it can harm your career.

Fourth:

Never try to deceive anyone, or you go to the first item.

Fifth:

With all items of this list your result is:

Anyone will answer to you, you will find that there is no work and will discourage you. You will end up losing hours of study and losing the will to study to be discouraged and lose time is a bad thing, because remember: One day without doing what is necessary means another day away from your goal

So forget that run, keep calm and focus on their study in dives and you will learn all the time.

I know all it, i decided venture to know more and more about work with dive, and i lost time selecting places, send emails and etc…

Leave this to after, keep your concentration in your preparation, the best employment is result of his preparation.

Remember, learn languages, be at least fluent in Spanish and English or the language of the place where you want to work.

Begin of the Career and Short Money…

For the cultural differences and values this text is not same of the version in portuguese.
But I tried to keep the main idea, which is to stay connected to not lose money at the time of purchase of equipment.

The great problem for all divers in the world with certainty is the high price of the equipment.
Dives, equipments, all is more expansive, if you don´t find, Will spend more money.
If an equipment is used to dive, he is more expansive than the orders, for example: We have cable protector to octopus, this protectors are more expansive because are specific to dive, if the cable protector To be replaced by protectors specific to cable P.C (they are resistent too), because they are for computers, with certainty the price is lower.

Search, search and search, the prices change place to place.
If an place the product price is X, in another place the price is Y and in another is Z, search in many places after you purchase the product. Have certainty, that it is the best price.

If you have a friend living in Europe, good for you, because many equipments produced there and the price is very different…Buy and ask him to bring to you.

Pursuit of the excellence…

You all know, the instructor on the true is one leadership, this is the difference of the instructor to the people.
You cant said me, as well ? The instructor know more the people, this is a difference!
His mistake, we do not know the people and if the instructor know more the people, he do not better in nothing, he only had the opportunity learning things before.
So, i speak all to you know, dive instructors must be prepared with leaders to a make the difference. I believe that if you has not a good leader preparation, may have problems with the credibility of your team and execution of tasks.
Simple?? But we have lot to learning.
Its similar to sports, on the volleyball, we have Bernardinho (i am a fan)that led Brazil to a higher positions And still does not leave his team discourage and continue win and win, more and more. We have many good coaches in the world, but only Bernardinho has for long time the hight performance of your team, the difference ?
He prepared to be leader.

Today with student, I believe the instructors must have “felling” and know how do to the student learning more and more fast, to the execution is always better. The main is, if the instructor getting move to the student a little bit of the of the profession, this student will be motivation to go ahead, looking for a better results.

A good training is read the books whites by success people…
Because everybody have a choice, make yours.

The Begin..

Hello people, all right ??
So, the main idea of this blog are helping the people who are entering in the scuba dive career.
My wife and i are beginning walk on this new world and with a lot of help and hard work, we are getting  buy our equipments, make our courses and using all of time to study and perform our great goal, Course Director by PADI.
So, i want log all this way on this blog and record all the moments to remember in the future.
